FILLER and HOME DEVICES | Can you use skincare device over filler/Botox?
Can you use a home skin care device (Time Master Pro, Radio Frequency, Microcurrent, Microneedle) over filler or Botox?
Oh No!
I just got filler...can I use my home device?
I get this question often and I've answered it, but in case you are wondering...
CAN YOU USE YOUR HOME DEVICE OVER FILLER?
ANSWER: Yes...and no.
The industry standard is to avoid using any home device over filler/Botox, etc. for a minimum of two weeks.
My answer is more conservative in that I strongly suggest you avoid using devices over your fresh filler for at least a month. My own personal preference is to hold off on using any device over filler until its half-life.
For example, if you get filler that lasts 6 months / don't use your device over it until 3 months have passed.
This is just my preference...I say if you get filler, why take a chance and mess with it? Devices can cause a little quicker reduction in the filler effect (IMO).
HOW TO USE YOUR HOME DEVICE IF YOU HAVE FILLER/BOTOX
You can still use your device AROUND the area. If you get cheek filler, use device under or above the area. If you get lip filler, use device around mouth (skip lips). If you get Botox in forehead, use device on temples and other areas.
Again, this is my advice and suggestion only. You can follow the industry standard, but for the best full-life of a filler, skip working over it.
This goes for TIME MASTER PRO, microcurrent, deep microneedling (pens/stamps), RF, etc.
You can use a light dermaroller or Mesolyft-type device (.25mm or under) without issue.
