HOW AND WHEN TO USE YOUR ANTI-AGING HOME DEVICES —- FOR BEST RESULTS!

SUBSCRIBER QUESTION:

Hi,

I received my recent order and have begun to use the devices. I do feel a bit overwhelmed with ALL the information out there.

Some sights (sic) say to do:

-Microcurrent

-Radio Frequency

-LED

-Microneedling

Then I also heard that you should always finish with microcurrent. I have an event in late June so I am trying to setup some sort of schedule for "home" treatments. I do have RF, TMP and Microcurrent (the latter 2 being purchased from you)

Can I do a 10-12 week push with all of these devices?

Any advice you can give would be SO appreciated!

Barbara

RESPONSE: Suggestions to use your home facial devices:

NOTE: Estheticians and practitioners have their own methods and procedures. While similar, they may vary. This is just mine.

Hi Barbara!

Sure, you can do a “power schedule” and here is my best recommendation:

  • Start with microneedling – weekly for light; monthly for deep (.50mm+)

  • Use the RF weekly 2x

  • LED 3-4x weekly – use after microneedling

  • TMP 2x weekly

  • Microcurrent 3-5x weekly

Use the RF on alternating days of the other treatments. On non-RF days, use TMP first, then do a microcurrent to help do an extra sculpting. You can use the microcurrent after LED, TMP. My only caution is to be careful with RF – it can cause volume loss if used too much or in wrong areas. Also, only use TMP 2x weekly!

Follow up question:

Me again :o) I think I am a bit mixed up with devices. I do have a RFrequency device, TMP and Mini. I was thinking that the TMP was an LED treatment. But now I am thinking I am wrong.

My response:

Hi- the TMP does have LED so you can use it at the same time as the ultrasound treatment of the TMP. You can also use just the light LED function without the ultrasound during the week. If you have the TMP, you don’t need a separate tool!

With light microneedling, it shouldn’t require a numbing. It is a strange, sometimes a little unpleasant at first, sensation. But once you do it a few times, you get used to it.

Use a tool that is no deeper than .50mm for best results. This will stimulate collagen production but not cause problems. There are home devices that go deeper but I strongly caution against using them as they can cause issues for non-professionals. You can apply serums right after a light treatment (.25 - .50mm) but not after deep treatments. Using the red, green or multi- LED after treatment is really nice to help calm skin.

I hope that helps, Barbara 😊

Hopefully, you can get some answers from my emails with this customer. This can be confusing and somewhat daunting!

My easy regimen to follow:

WEEKLY EASY ANTI-AGING REGIMEN

  • Weekly exfoliation

  • TMP 2x weekly (or your favorite device)

  • Microcurrent 3-5x weekly - I do like to do a MINI treatment right after my TMP treatment while I still have the conductive gel on my face.

  • LED - I use the function on my TMP and/or add the LED red light tool one more time weekly.

  • Microneedling - Deep: Once monthly / Light: 2-3x weekly for product penetration (no deeper than .25mm)

  • NOTE: I don’t use RF as I don’t know if it really does that much (home devices), but I know several of my customers are fans of it, so I recommend you follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your device -or- use it only 1-2x weekly. SEE MY POST ON HOME RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES
