Anti-Aging Eye Cream Comparison: (ANTI-AGING AROUND THE EYES: Dark circles, wrinkles, crepey skin, volume loss)

-Sculplla vs. NeoGenesis vs. Expurtise Vs. Strivectin vs. Tinted-

MY EYE CREAM SEARCH SAGA:

Over the years, I’ve tried many, many eye creams. M-A-N-Y! Expensive department store, natural and organics (see my note on these below), drugstore, prescription-only, Esthetician/Physician lines, etc., etc.!

The three below are the ones I am using the most, however, the point of the comparison to let you know what each does, how they work, who they are suited for and the key ingredients. You can use any creams/serums you like, but if you are looking for the results listed, keep in mind to look for those types of ingredients.

These are two additional options I’ve tried and like:

STRIVECTIN: The only other eye product I really liked is the eye cream by Strivectin. I think it gave me the best results for overall dark circle reduction (my biggest issue in the eye area). I haven’t used it in years as I now use mostly the Sculplla eye cream and Expurtise, but if you are looking to try a different line, that one seemed to do the most (over time).

This is a version of the one I used - really nice for daytime use (I thought!)

Brightening Eye Cream by FIRST AID BEAUTY

DAYTIME-TINTED: For daytime use, I have one that has a light pink concealer tint which helps to brighten dark areas around the eyes—it’s my own line. Not much in the way of actives, but one I use it when I need a little extra help brightening the area. I mix it with the Expurtise. I have used another one by First Aid Beauty that had a light pink tint and it was really good, too!

SERIOUS REPAIR EYE CREAMS AND SERUMS - Dark Circles, Deep Lines/Wrinkles, Crepey Skin and Hollows/Volume Loss Around Eyes

FAQ RE: EYE CREAMS AND SERUMS - What does what? Which one is best for me?

I've received a few questions about these eye creams and I am going to give you a brief breakdown of each, what they do, who they best suited for/issues:

SCULPLLA PROMOTER REPAIR EYE CREAM

The newest of the three, this eye cream is a unique blend of both repair ingredients (PDRN, 4GF - growth factors), PLLA (collagen-boosting) and Volufiline (promotes volume).

This cream is luxurious, packaged in a nice cylinder that dispenses only a drop at a time (no dipping into jars) and has the price tag of $80.

What the Sculplla Promoter Repair Eye Cream does:

It works in a couple of different ways: First, to repair/regenerate the skin, rebuild collagen and promote new volume in the area.

It is unique in that is works both long-term as well as helps to moisturize, fill fine lines and gives a "lipo-filling" result instantly.

Best suited for:

Light wrinkles, fine lines, crepey eye skin (not severe), and if you find you have a hollowing or depressed area around your eyes. This will help to rebuild/and fill out the area over time.

Day and night use.

NEOGENESIS EYE SERUM

A power-player in this line, this eye serum is very different from the Sculplla in a few ways; similar in others.

It is a rather thick serum compared to their other serums (goes on a little tacky but dries quickly and invisibly). It has stem cells and will help to repair/regenerate the tissue and firm the eye aream.

It comes in a glass cylinder that dispenses just the right amount for use and has a price tag of $115.

Best suited for:

NeoGenesis Eye Serum is best suited for: It works to really help areas that are lined, wrinkled (deep), crepey (more severe), sun damaged and discolored. The stem cells are the key component along with peptides and fibroblasts. This is also good for dark circles.

What NeoGenesis Eye Serum does:

This is a serum that works over time; this is not really an "instant fix" eye serum, although it will help smooth the area after application. It is good under makeup, however I find it's best used at night as a repair product.

This comes in both a full-sized and trial. Be mindful that the trial sized bottle is very small, but you will get several uses from it. The serum is thick and does not dispense as well in the trial sized (a complaint from some customers).

Also, it's meant to provide results over time (30+ days). However, if you use it for a consistent time, you should really see good results. This is a very well- reviewed product in their line.

EXPURTISE ANTI-AGING EYE SERUM

Instantly brightens and smooths eye area

I like to apply a little around my eyes before makeup -or- mix a little with my concealer.

Expurtise eye.JPG

ExPurtise Anti-Aging Eye Cream

Organics combined with potent actives = a great daytime eye cream!

This is the most "natural" of the three; it has certified organic extracts, peptides, Vitamin K (a powerful dark-circle eradicator), Matrixyl, Caffeine and some really lovely essential oils.

Great daytime eye cream option: This is a cream and the Expurtise Anti-Aging Eye Serum is best suited for daytime use, as it provides an instant smoothing/relaxing of lines as well as brighten the eye area (very nice under concealer - or mix it with your concealer!)

What Expurise Anti-Aging Eye Serum does / How it works:

This works over time to stimulate collagen as well as provides the instant results of reducing puffiness and brightening the eye area. It has a price tag of $65.

This is often what I use during the day if I'm wearing makeup (or the Sculplla). The Neogenesis I use at night. This is just my preference.

A note on “organic and natural” eye creams -

As with most organic products, they are usually very light, nicely naturally scented with essential oils and very good for daily use - especially if you are very concerned about any type of chemical components. However, the caveat with natural and organic skincare lines is that unless they are combined with some sort of “actives” like peptides, etc., they just don’t pack the punch of the other skincare products. Just something to keep in mind!
